Mission Statement:
The Shepherd Tax Preparation Mobile/Virtual Service provides Free Tax service to ages 19 and older, Individual, Families, Elderly, those disabled, low to moderate income $60,000 or less. We serve the Newton County and surrounding counties. We do not discriminate because of ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, or religion.

We received "The Faith Leader & Community Impact Award" for the NAN Newton County Youth Chapter.
National Action Network (NAN) Newton County Chapter, Covington Georgia members attended the Moore Ford Bridge March in Monroe, Georgia.
NAN Newton County Chapter, Covington Georgia, Annual Christmas Toys for Toys Program
Since 2017, NAN Newton County Chapter, Covington Georgia - adopted the Covington Housing Authority Resident Children for our Annual Toys for Tots Christmas Program.
The Marine Toys for Tots Program is thankful for the many generous corporate sponsors and donors which contribute Toys. Marine Forces Reserve consists of approximately 40,000 Marines stationed at over 150 Reserve Unit Sites across the country. The U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is directed by the Commander, Marine Forces Reserve, with the assistance of his staff, from the Marine Forces Reserve.
While Toys for Tots Coordinators organize, coordinate, and manage the campaign, the ultimate success depends on the support of the local community organization and the generosity of the people who donate toys. The local community organization which are qualified to identify the needy children in the community and play important roles in the distribution of the toys.
